* Create concepts, prototypes & design improvements

* Work with R&D, design, QA & production teams

* Check material feasibility, costing & processes

* Ensure durability, performance & safety standards

* Handle trials, testing, validation & scale-up

* Track market trends & competition

* Maintain documentation, specs & NPD reports

* Smoothly hand over products to production

* Guide and manage the NPD team
