Overview

Profile - Assistant Manager – Operations (Shift Incharge)
Reports To: Plant Manager/Operations Manager
Capacity: Less than 80 MW
Location - Jaipur
Preferred Industry- Power Generation (Thermal, Biomass, Waste to Energy, Captive, Cogeneration)
Salary - Upto 10 LPA (Depends on interview )
Qualification - B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering


Key Responsibilities:

Shift Management:
Supervise plant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth and efficient performance.
Coordinate with maintenance, electrical, and other departments to ensure continuous operations.
Conduct regular inspections of the plant to monitor equipment performance and operational parameters.

Operational Efficiency:
Monitor and control plant parameters to optimize production and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
Implement strategies for energy conservation and cost reduction.

Safety and Compliance:
Enforce compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.
Conduct safety drills and ensure that safety equipment is operational and available.
Prepare and submit required regulatory and safety reports.

Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of operators and technicians.
Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback to team members.
Facilitate training and development programs to enhance team capabilities.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance activities.
Ensure availability of critical spares and coordinate with the procurement department.

Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate logs of plant operations and incidents during the shift.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on plant performance.
Ensure proper documentation of all operational activities and updates to manuals as needed.

Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for all operational issues during the shift.
Coordinate with senior management and other departments to relay critical information.
Participate in shift handover meetings to ensure seamless transition between shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Certification: BOE (Boiler Operation Engineer) Certification
Experience: Minimum 8years+ of experience in power plant operations, preferably in thermal, biomass, waste-to-energy, captive, or cogeneration units.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of power plant processes, boiler operations, and control systems.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
