Profile -                Senior Manager – Technical.

Location -             Cossipore (Kolkata)

Company -            Shipyard & Drydock

Experience -          15 to 20 years   

Salary                    12 LPA to 15 LPA   

Reporting to  :       President & WTD 

Qualification  -      Shipping Degree or Diploma or B.E in Mechanical Engineering from a Reputed College & Universities

Key Responsibilities:

*Technical Oversight:

Provide technical leadership and guidance in shipyard and drydock operations.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.

Oversee shipbuilding projects, ensuring they meet quality standards and are completed within established timelines.

*Project Management:

Lead and manage ship construction and drydock projects from inception to completion.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and procurement, to ensure project success.

Develop project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress to achieve project goals.

*Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the shipbuilding process.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall quality standards.

*Budgetary Control:

Develop and manage budgets for shipyard projects, ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective actions as needed.

*Team Leadership:

Build and lead a high-performing technical team.

Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

*Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Build and maintain strong relationships to support business development and project execution.

*Risk Management:

Identify potential risks in shipyard operations and develop mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations to minimize operational risks.

*Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and key milestones.
